i just recently discoverd my love for esthero, and it is vast. this song is currently on my myspace if you'd like to try before you download oh noes buy.

02. butch walker - cigarette lighter love song
this is actually a marvelous 3 song, but i LOVE this live solo version. it's such a hurt-y kind of song but it's beautiful. one of the things i love about butch is that his lyrics are always so grounded in reality, you know? it's not just a bunch of pretty metaphors. "and my lips are raw as hell, from biting on them just to stay awake. it's not like i'm gonna need 'em, you won't be around to see them bleed and break." gah. if you take anything in this post, take this.

03. jordin sparks - tattoo
the first time i heard this, i was completely unimpressed, like...that's it? but it's grown on me SO MUCH and now i love it and listen to it all the time. plus it makes me think of my divas, so that's super shibby! ♥ ∞

04. the academy is... - classifieds
maybe my favorite TAI song? i don't know, it's definitely in my top 5. this song reminds me ridiculously of blake, coming off idol and getting into the music business, and the way fans have always been so quick to jump on his ass for any perceived bad behavior. "i'm not the type to forget about nights like this when every single move that i make is documented and scored for style points; the once ambitious one now holds the smoking gun...and if i die in my sleep, are you still willing to be everything you promised you would be?"

05. cobra starship - it's warmer in the basement
because is there anyone who DOESN'T like incredibly creepy songs about locking a girl you like up in your basement until she loves you? and hey, did i mention that gabe saporta touched my face one time? mwahahaha. seriously, this song is so fun, tho.

06. jack's mannequin - i'm ready
this song has been a favorite for a while. it's just...i don't know! it makes me happy. that's enough, right?
