It makes me happy in the pants, too.....but...have you SEEN the chaos going on with their fans because the guys started a fanclub? Never seen anything like it.
Well, it leaked there was going to be a fanclub. I joined without a single thought cause....dude....William Beckett danced with us. Then I go to the LJ community and EVERYONE is pissed off. Like, it was a fucking RIOT!
They were going on about how the band was ripping us off and it was insulting to have to "pay to be a fan" and blahblahblahwhinewhine.
The guys put out the message you saw and it just made things worse. Today was insane. People yelling that they were trying to steal our money and that the guys are assholes...whatevs. Sisky posted ANOTHER bulletin giving the person who attacked them a free membership. Um....made it even WORSE!
Like a gazillion people went into a chat while the community mod spoke to William privately and was telling him what the fans were saying...and vice versa. Like....WTF!
I'm still scared they're going to pull the whole thing. It's just $30, the same amount I payed for The Killers fanclub.
I'm rambling and not making sense. I was the only person in that chat defending the guys. Even the mod was saying "I have no faith in them" or some shit. It's ridiculous.
OK....it has settled a little, but.....I'm too old for this shit.
holy christ on a skinny gay boy, that shit sounds ridiculous. TONS of bands have fan clubs, why is this such a travesty? WTF? i just went and left them a supportive myspace comment, lol. how do i join? i want to join just to spite the people who're bitching.
how can anyone get mad at them tho? they are so shiny. :(
