if you've never watched this show, get with the fucking program and get the DVDs, or else look here for another method. *cough* if you need further assistance in that matter, yell at me and i will provide some.

honestly, this is the best fucking show, like, ever. it doesn't matter if you hate football or cheerleaders or texas. if you have ever been a teenager, if you have ever been in love, if you've ever hated your parents or hated your life or hated yourself, if you've ever been so fucking happy that you didn't think you could take one more breath without just...exploding everywhere...you will like this show. it's real, and it's moving, and it's funny, and it's just...omg, you guys, i cannot say enough. it's the closest thing i've ever found to my so-called life, despite the shows, in theory, being extremely different. also, if you're shallow like me, the cast is GORGEOUS, and the fact that it took me so long to get to that particular point should give you some idea of how fantastic this show really is.

so. ever since i started watching friday night lights, i've been sort of mentally (and ocasionally verbally) comparing it to my so-called life, the only other teen show that's ever felt as real to me. and it's recently come to my attention that at least part of the reason i feel this way is that my so-called life had a long-haired hunky guy named jordan catalano, played by jared leto.

now, jordan catalano was a stoner, not a football player. however, he was pretty and charming, not much of a talker, kind of dumb sometimes, and he made me very, very flaily. the kind of guy that most high school girls cannot resist.

and when i watch friday night lights, and i see tim riggins, it's like jordan catalano walking into my life all over again.

let's observe, oui?
