honestly, this is the best fucking show, like, ever. it doesn't matter if you hate football or cheerleaders or texas. if you have ever been a teenager, if you have ever been in love, if you've ever hated your parents or hated your life or hated yourself, if you've ever been so fucking happy that you didn't think you could take one more breath without just...exploding everywhere...you will like this show. it's real, and it's moving, and it's funny, and it's just...omg, you guys, i cannot say enough. it's the closest thing i've ever found to my so-called life, despite the shows, in theory, being extremely different. also, if you're shallow like me, the cast is GORGEOUS, and the fact that it took me so long to get to that particular point should give you some idea of how fantastic this show really is.

it was freezing up for me a bit at the beginning, but then i closed a bunch of programs i had open and it was pretty much perfect after that.

It was constantly pausing, like every ten seconds, for the first 10-20 minutes of the episode. I got at least halfway through before it stopped. I wanted to smash something (pun!), but I'm glad to know it wasn't just me.

oh man, you're going to love it. it's just...there are no words. you will absolutely be sitting around and sobbing while you watch and you'll love every minute of it.

just fyi: the first ep is by far the most football-oriented, imo. so if that puts you off, just hang in for a few eps and you'll get it.

1.) I got on the FNL fan bus late in the game, and watched the entire season recently. It broke me in the best possible way.

2.) So this weekend was a little bit of single-track mindedness, for obvious reasons. But you and I seem to have a bunch of common interests - beyond Cake and Robbie Williams.

3.) I've just added you to my LJ friends. (Okay - seriously - after this weekend, I'm not sure why I'm too shy to say "hey, add me back?") My posts are mostly my own personal rants and ish - but I am a liberal user of cut tags for that very reason. :-)
