EDIT: ok i'll just post it now, my thoughts on why the whole landry killing a dude plotline isn't particularly offensive to me:

i know a lot of people have really hated it, and the primary reason i've heard is because FNL has always been so realistic, and that this seems too much, too soapy, too over-the-top. which i get, to a point, but the thing is - things like that? HAPPEN. i mean, i never killed a guy when i was in high school and as far as i know none of my friends did either, but...things happen. there are moments when adrenaline runs high and someone acts without thinking and you're left standing, horrified. so i DON'T think it's unrealistic. this guy had attacked tyra on several occasions, he was violent and terrifying and landry reacted. and they freaked out. and maybe it was dumb, but they're in high school. and the fact that the dude was walking away makes a self-defense, um, defense way harder to pull off. his back was to landry; that in and of itself would be a problem, i think. so yeah, dumping the body was awful, but not an unreasonable choice, considering the circumstances.
