unrelatedly, i can't stop watching this clip of christian kane on angel.

i have this song (thanks bana! ♥) but does anyone want to give me more of his stuff? and what's his story? is he a douche? i feel like i heard that he's a douche? tell me things!

i just finished "hell's bells" and omg. poor, poor anya. and poor xander, too, for that matter. i cried like a total dweeb. i love anya ridiculous amounts. i hope they reconcile at some point (don't tell me!) because i adore them together. :(

so i get it now re: spike/buffy. i still love buffy/angel hardcore but spike/buffy is definitely not without its appeal. that sex scene in the bronze? holy guac, that was hot. i squeaked and then rewound it like 5x, ngl. and their scene together at the wedding was really awesome in a hurty kind of way. oh oh oh and the scene when buffy was invisible and xander walked in on them, and spike starts doing pushups in bed and buffy, like, squeaks beneath him? LOLOLOLOL.

is there ever any explanation given for why angel is SUCH a dick when he loses his soul but others like spike are kind of okayish? i know spike gets a soul at some point, which is good i guess, but i mean...idk. is it because angel was kind of a dick before he turned, whereas spike was a total sap? i mean, i realize spike a) has a chip, and b) loves buffy, so he's on good behavior, but angelus is soooo impossibly douchey (not that i don't enjoy him). just pondering!

oh, and i loved seeing riley again. the scar was hot and his wife was awesome.

first of all, i have to say that i LOVED the whole darla storyline. i hated her guts on buffy and found her super-annoying, but i adored her on angel even when she was a miserable bitch. and that sex scene she and angel had was HOT.

i predictably love wesley now, holy shit. he was another one who sucked on buffy and then came to LA and got all awesome.

FRED IS SO CUTE WTF. she and gunn are adorable but i want her/wesley like whoa. or a threesome. always an easy solution. XD oh and lorne is A++++++. j'adore!

i am underwhelmed by connor. at first i was all "OMG ANGEL AND HIS BB SO CUUUUUUUUTE" but seeing angel all dweeby and baby-talking 24/7 is kind of meh. however, holtz just dipped out with connor to the other dimension or whatever, so i'm assuming that means i'm in store for more angsty broody angel, which is just how i like him.

ALSO. is there going to be cordy/angel? i'm assuming there is? i do not really approve. i mean, i get it, and i love them both, but i'm just not feeling it. idk. their scene when they were possessed (or whatever) at the ballet was hot, but as themselves i love their friendship and i'd prefer it stayed that way. :/

As far as Angel being a dick, he was known as a particularly vicious vampire. Giles points out that most kill just to eat, but he enjoys it. Rewatch the S1 ep where he kisses her and she finds out what he really is, there's a lot of Angelus explanation there.

There's a scene with that monster that Buffy blows up with the rocket launcher [bestest scene ever] where he puts his hand on Angelus and says that there's no humanity in him. Spike and Dru on the other hand...
Spike always had a little bit of a conscience, he helps out Buffy if it means getting Dru back [the scene where he meets Buffy's mom for the second time, "I'm in a rock band"], where most vampires, and definitely Angelus would have been more interested in killing.

Also, this is like reliving the serieses, don't stop the recaps!

yeah, i get that as far as vampires go, angelus is one of the worst. i guess i'm just curious why. does it have to do with who they were as a human, or is it a conscious choice, or do they get meaner with age, or...idk! but it's like...ok, angel has a soul, so as far as (mostly) everyone is concerned, he can't be held accountable for the things he does as angelus. which i understand, because when he's angel he's awesome. but, like, nobody really gives spike a pass, and spike is way less awful than angelus (but obviously not as "good" as angel). i guess it just serves the story better and i should just accept it. :P

ita with spike > angelus. i don't know if it has anything to do with them as a person, angel was kind of a drunken loser who couldn't live up to his father. spike was more romantic, although a dork. so i think each of them carried a little something into their vampire personalities... spike went from dork to cool and angel went from an immature boy to a man. but spike stayed a romantic and angelus still doesn't know when to quit.
