item 1 is because it's an issue that comes up in my life every now and again, and while i have a definite answer that seems obvious to me, i've noticed that not everyone agrees. item 2 is because over my past couple of years on twop, between blake and carly and now david, i've seen what seems like a disproportionate number of people who are somewhat vehemently anti-tattoo. item 3 is the same general concept. i'm just curious, because i always find myself going "holy fuck, is everyone on this board, like, 60 years old?" and then i wonder if i'm just the weird one.

also, for question 1, since i phrased it stupidly - would you choose to wait outside somewhere where you have a pretty okay chance of meeting them OR would you choose to go see them perform in a place/situation where you are highly unlikely to meet them?

1. I picked meet them under the assumption that at least I can listen to their music on my own and that it's only a choice between meeting or hearing at this one time.

2. I kind of want one, but I'm chicken lol

3. I can go either way, sometimes it's hot, sometimes...not so much lol

Re 1: Me also, on this one. ♥ Obviously live music is an amazing experience, but for me it's always been more about the fact that it's the people making the music right there than the music itself. Plus I have chances to see my favourites play so much more often than I have to meet them.

And piggybacking a 2 onto here, I'd love to contemplate a tattoo myself, but I'm deathly phobic of needles. So I have nothing against them on others or on me in theory, just do not want in practice. /o\

re 1: i just...i know people who will choose to wait outside somewhere in the hopes of meeting someone, rather than actually going to the show, and i just don't get that, personally. i'll always go to the show. i mean, there are plenty of musicians i would love to meet, but i personally wouldn't ever blow off a show or a performance or whatever for a chance at it. that's just me, tho.

Yeah, see, that's ridiculous and I would definitely not go for that. D: If I knew for sure I'd get the performance and there was a good chance I wouldn't get the meeting, I would definitely pick the show. But even if I had a sure opportunity to meet someone rather than see their show, it'd depend a lot on the circumstances. A brief fannish encounter wouldn't be worth missing a long show for, but I'd gladly forego only a few songs for a chance to even exchange a few words because that's a pretty big deal, y'know?

01. oh, yeah. i really didn't phrase that question well. i just...i know people who will choose to wait outside somewhere in the hopes of meeting someone, rather than actually going to the show, and i just don't get that, personally. i'll always go to the show. XD

02. it's really not as bad as you'd think. i'm a huge wuss and i have four and i'm planning more, so.

03. i'm just constantly amazed by the number of people who are still actively, like, weirded out by eyeliner on a dude. maybe i should have just asked "are you weirded out by eyeliner on a dude?" and saved everyone some confusion, hee.
