ok, so at the end of buffy 6.04 (flooded), she gets a call from angel and goes off to see him. and at the end of angel 3.04 (carpe noctem) he gets a call from willow telling him about buffy, right? so i've been alternating, and now on buffy 6.05 she's already gone to see him (which i realize obviously did not occur on HER show). did i fuck up and should i be ahead one ep on angel, or does this visit just never get shown?

if you can make it through that convoluted mess, you are pretty special.

ok. i just didn't know if i should be going angel/buffy/angel/buffy instead of buffy/angel/buffy/angel. especially since i had buffy 6.01 and 6.03 as one ep? so then i watched the first two of angel.

lololol i've become scared of imdb because i keep trying to look things up all innocently and getting spoiled. brooke looked it up tho and it looks like angel eps were one day ahead of buffy eps.

so like, i just watched angel 3.04 and started buffy 6.05, but i think it should be angel 3.05 and then buffy 3.05.

The reason they don't overlap is because during seasons six and seven of Buffy, Angel remained on the WB while Buffy had moved to UPN. So there was no sharing of stars, etc.

However! I will say that the shows don't go exactly in order (Buffy/Angel/Buffy/Angel/etc) and I think in S7 (and S4 of Angel) things get messed up if you're just alternating. I think you have to look up the actual air dates to get it right.

I'm not sure if this question has been fully answered for you but I'm lazy and have to leave for work in a minute, so I'll just answer just in case. Since Season 6 was the first season that Buffy was on UPN, I believe WB wouldn't allow any crossovers between Buffy and Angel. There's a comic book out there that I think Jane Espenson wrote that details what happened between Buffy and Angel because it was never shown on screen.
