hey, so you know how if you move a music file, a little exclamation point icon appears next to that song in intunes?

is there a way to select ALL the exclamation-pointed songs, rather than clicking them individually? i'm having some difficulties here. i have a slew of songs that i need to clear out of my itunes (i'm talking hundreds, maybe a thousand) and they're all scattered and i have been clicking and deleting FOREVER and omgitsucks. :(

If you just want to delete all the exclamation point-ed songs, you can hold SHIFT while clicking on each song. Or, if there's a bunch of songs in a row, you can click the top one, hold CTRL and click the bottom song, and it will highlight all the songs in between. Then you can just delete.

But if you moved the songs, you can double click the song, and it will ask you to find the new location. But that will take a while because I don't think there's a way to do that but one at a time.

highlight one of the songs. hold down 'ctrl'. then click the rest of the titles you want to delete. and then delete them once you're done.

Have you tried this?

To get rid of exclamation points for files that no longer exist, I selected every song in the library (CTRL + A) and selected Get Info > Change Info for All Selected Files.

In the Info window, I changed the BPM to 1 (can be anything). After a few minutes, all files that were available had a BPM of 1, but the files that iTunes can’t find did not.

If you then sort your library by BPM, all the exclamation mark files will be at the top of the list, ready to be deleted.

I moved 80% of my songs to test it and it worked for me.

Why do you guys have so many songs in your playlist, lol. I only have like 100 songs in there because I keep changing my playlist every week :D
But it's still better than deleting every single song I guess. :D
