you should watch this. a thousand times. mia michaels's (should it be michaels' or michaels's? i know plural possesive would be michaels', but her name is not, uh, plural. so.) choreography never fails to blow me away.

I thought that as I was watching, but you see the results, you can clearly see the makeup.

I'm also a little bummed that Mia didn't get an Emmy nod. Shane Sparks, really?!?

I feel the same way. Her dances are just too incredible for words. I mean I honestly watch them and get chills nearly everytime. Her style is just so incredible and all her own. I would kill to just take a class with her or something.

I think the only one that I was so-so on was the dance she did last season that was for her father. It just didn't really feel like her style...which I know is awful so say for THAT dance, but there was just something about it that didn't really grab me. Probably was more the fact that Neil was dancing it cause I hated him and I just couldn't imagine him in a father role. Yeah actually he was probably the biggest reason I didn't love that one.

But that Lacey/Kameron dance was amazing last season. I still look it up and watch it from time to time.

oh, god, i loved the dance for her father. i've always been a sucker for daddy-daughter things, and even moreso since my father died. i didn't especially like neil, either, but the story of the dance made me bawl. i was even worse when i saw it on tour, omg. :x

i looooved lacey & kam's mia routine. one of my other favorites is that weird-ass thing she gave allison and ryan, with the eyepatches? and mark & chelsie's tim burton-wedding routine, sigh.

MIA HOW ARE YOU SO AWESOME? D:

this is one of the most beautiful dances that has been on this show. ever.

I'm shocked she didn't get nominated for an Emmy too. Her performances are always some of the most memorable on the show. This one was right up there with the best.

GUH. My mom and I could NOT get over this last night. I swear, I think that woman exists on some other plane or something. Her work is always so intricate and has so much behind it, it sort of breaks my brain a little bit.

and here comes the anal-retentive one

It's Michaels'. Whenever a word ends in the letter s you just put an apostrophe at the end, regardless of whether it is singular or plural.

I know. It was beautiful.

Yesterday, I came across that contemporary she did last season with Lacey and Neil, based on her deceased father. Talk about sobbing.

Her work is seriously awe-inspiring. I'm ashamed to admit that I was so caught up in the dancing that I kind of didn't catch what the song was about initially...or that they were angels, I know I'm slow lol. It was just gorgeous, easily the best number of the night and so original. Although is it wrong that the first shot of all of those dancers with the hair over their eyes reminds me of The Ring?
