oh i know... poor dcook. but really, the only part that was rough was the beginning. the only problem with the rest of it was that he seemed so unenthousiastic during the performance. he just seemed like he was being really dragged down or something. i didn't think any of it was pompous, like simon said. if anything, it was less confident and cocky than the rest of his performances. idk.

Yeah, I thought he got really into it later. ;___; Or, into it vocally. I can see how a sober performance might suit that song better, but I do agree that he seems kind of subdued tonight. I don't know why that is, but I definitely think it's absolutely not pompous at all. I don't think it was one of his best performances, but he's just so earnest and amazing vocally, this song showed his range so well, and just -- fjskdlfs. He needs to have another absolutely amazing week to make the judges love him again. ;___;

DCook looked hot tonight, I loved the hair and the jacket and the fact that he has bedroom eyes *g* But, that being said, there was definitely something off about his performance and he looked really sad and resigned when it was over. I didn't think it was necessarily bad though, it's one of the only songs I still remember now that it's over. I guess everyone has a bad night, no one looked particularly prepared. I really hope that doesn't land him in the bottom 3. For all their fawning and praising, I still think Syesha and KLC sucked tonight.
