i really shouldn't ever look at the spoiler lists, you guys, because i ♥ this kid bigtime and according to the spoilers, he doesn't make the top 24. which i'm inclined to believe, because he still has a ton of music up on his myspace.

this is josiah leming. i'm assuming he'll be shown on tuesday, since they showed him in the preview.

he's melodramatic as fuck, but he's RIGHT up my alley and apparently for the hollywood round he did "grace kelly" by mika which is just so much fucking LOVE. and his mom has been battling cancer for like 10 years and he's one of, like, 9 kids or something ridiculous like that, so he has backstory coming out of his ears. he must've really sucked it up in his final performance or something, because i know he made it to the chair of death episode.

i hope it turns out one of the dudes in the top 24 is secretly taylor hicks in disguise and he gets booted off and josiah can replace him! *crosses fingers*

This is why I stopped watching the auditions - the spoiled top 24 list pissed me off way too much. All those people I liked who got through to top 50, then got cut. DID NOT WANT.

Oh, I love him too! I'm actually REALLY surprised he didn't make the Top 24. I mean, he even has the type of backstory that AI just loves. I'm guessing he had to completely suck it up in his final performance?

I really don't know what the eff the producers/judges were thinking this year though. There's like zero diversity in the Top 24. All of the guys are pretty much either rockers or 16 years old, and all of the girls blend together with their country or over-the-top belting. idk :/

yeah, so far i'm none too pleased with the top 24. i mean, i realize that it's probably too early to judge and there are a lot of people we haven't seen yet, but i'm really disappointed about josiah. i think he's rad.

i knowww, i had gotten myself into him, just to find out that he did not make it to the top 24. ughhh, damn it. i was píssed off a LOT with tptb for that (and brandon green and cardin mckinney who were already my early favorites and are rumoured to be cut in the "chair" episode).

buuuuut, now i'm trying to let it go and focus on the other ones that are left and i still like, such as michael johns, david cook, david archuleta...

but i totally agree with you on that. he's AMAZING.

i'm trying really hard not to be bitter, but i'm failing. i just think he's so talented and there are so many people this year with so many prior opportunities and experience and he seems like actual real, raw talent...when else will he have a chance like this? and it's not like he'll be able to audition again; i think once they've made the top 50, they can't try out again. :(

it's just annoying. this is the first time i've really looked at contestant spoilers, and he was the one out of the top 50 who i really liked. and generally whenever i've picked someone out from the auditions, they've always made the semis. i'm actually curious to see his audition now and see what i think.
