grrr, you guys, if the spoilers for the top 24 of idol are true, i'm not happy! everyone i found remotely interesting/appealing was cut! drew (farm boy), colton (cute little country/rock boy), kyle (nerdy future president guy), josiah (they haven't shown his audition but he's this kooky piano dude who seems fun) and michael sanfillipo (also not shown but his band sounds rad!). BOO. :(

in other AI news, in case anyone cares: i've decided that i like carly, even tho i hated her audition. (the singing, i mean.) i've been inclined to not like her because she had a really big record contract a few years ago (well, in 2000, i think?) and her album literally sold, like, 350 copies (not kidding). so i'm like, well, she had her chance and it didn't work out, give someone else a shot. but then i think about how bad i feel for people like gina glocksen, who make the top 10, go on tour, play to arenas, and then...nothing. and i think of how awful it must be to have had a contract and put a CD out and feel like you've made it, it's all happening, you can be happy...and then to fail miserably and go wait on line for hours with a gazillion people and throw yourself on the mercy of producers and judges and then, y'know, america. and i feel for her. i think she oversang the FUCK out of "i'm every woman," but hopefully someone'll calm her down about that and i can actually, like, enjoy her singing.

so. this is what i thought about today, lol. *productive*

my 3 favorites (brandon, cardin and josiah) were cut, i'm not happy either. boo. but i still have hopes for this season, i mean, i can happen to like someone we haven't seen yet, and, there are still some people there whom i like. so, until the top 24 performs, i cannot say anything.
i like carly as well, i thing i'll probably enjoy her singing in the next few rounds, i'm not sure yet. she's one of the people there are still there that i mentioned i like.

but you know what? these whole process makes me miss blake. A LOT.

and WORD on missing blake. :( i fell in instant love with him last year, and so far, no one this season has come anywhere close to that. which is fine, but it'd be nice to have someone to be excited about, dammit!

i'm ok with that list, because for the first time Brooke White is on it.. so that made me happy haha. half of the boys we haven't even seen yet though. and i wish brandon had made it.

as far as carly... i thought her audition was over the top, and looking like that i didn't expect "I'm Every Woman" from her. I think she needs to be careful about her image. With that big tattoo on her arm and her dark hair people are going to be expecting rock from her. If she's not careful she could fall into the same trap Gina did. But I think she's a good singer.

i don't remember who brooke white is, but i never really care about the girls anyway. the only girl i 100% remember is carly. and i really hope she goes more rock - it'd suit her image and plus i just like it more. plus, less ridiculous runs in rock songs, usually. :P

Brooke was the very last girl shown in the first episode, the one who had never seen a rated R movie. I liked her voice but didn't think it was THAT special. I think whether she gets into the Top 12 will depend on whether the unaired girls make a big enough splash.

These spoilers are an infinite amount of fail. Where is my hot, sexy farmer boy? And where is Brandon? Colton Swon? Those were my 3 favorites so far. UGH. :(I don't really care about any of the girls, except I think I pretty much love Brooke White. That's actually surprising because (with the exception of Carrie) I usually don't really go for the girls on Idol.

I'm still willing to give this season a chance, but I can't help but feel like they really passed up on some really good, interesting people. This is Nigel were' talking about though, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

i want them to be wrong too :( there were a lot of different spoilers on IDF. all of them said they had different "sources", but none of them matched up. the list posted on MJ came from a poster that is supposed to be pretty reliable. idk. i'm kind of hoping she's full of crap :/ i just really wanted a country boy this year. that jason castro guy seems pretty interesting though.
