dude, where are the leaked pilots? i feel like i had pilots this time last year. WANT PILOTS.

anyway, i was just poking around in fallpreview and it reminded me of the sneak preview thingies i saved on youtube, so i thought i would post them here in case anyone wants to be prematurely excited about tv that may or may not end up sucking ass with me.

anyway, four shows about which i am particularly enthused:

dirty sexy money (ABC): Power, privilege and family money are a volatile cocktail thrust on an idealistic lawyer when he inherits the job of tending to the legal (and sometimes illegal) needs of the absurdly wealthy Darlings of New York City. Peter Krause, Donald Sutherland, Jill Clayburgh and William Baldwin star in this younger, sexier, redheaded stepchild of Dallas and Dynasty.

chuck (NBC): Zachary Levi (Less Than Perfect) plays Chuck, a nerdy computer tech who has a database of government secrets downloaded into his brain. Chuck soon finds himself recruited by John Casey (Adam Baldwin), a veteran NSA Agent, for espionage work with his new partner (and first date in ten years) Sarah (Yvonne Strzechowski) -- leading Chuck to live a split life of computer geek and secret NSA missions.

pushing daisies (ABC): Pushing Daisies is a love story about a pie-baking young man with a very special gift... the ability to return dead people briefly back to life with just a simple touch -- enabling him to help a P.I. crack murder cases by asking victims to name their killers. Director Barry Sonnenfeld, writer-producer Bryan Fuller, and the producers of Fish blend romance, crime procedural and high-concept fantasy to create a fairytale in the spirit of Amelie, Stranger than Fiction, and Chocolat.

gossip girl (CW): Based on the popular book series of the same name, this drama gives viewers a peek into the world of privileged teenagers on an elite private school in New York City. The story is written by The O.C.'s Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and directed by Mark Piznarski who has worked on series like Everwood and Veronica Mars. (fyi: kristen bell is the voice of gossip girl.)

(i'm thinking this might make me miss the oc a little less. maybe. hopefully.)

right?! i had hoped hidden palms would do it for me, but i haaaaated the pilot so i just resigned myself to a spoiled-teenagerless world. but gossip girl is sooo gonna fit the bill. and i loved the oc (except for S3, ugh, altho marissa's death = best ever), so the josh schwartz aspect makes me super-happy.

I'm so glad you posted those. I wasn't sure about Pushing Daisies from just reading the synopsis everywhere, but now that I've seen the preview? LOVE.
Chuck also looks a lot better than I thought it would. I'd previously seen the ninja scene, which seemed really lame, but seeing it with other clips...this hsow has potential, methinks!
...as if I don't watch enough TV.

i wasn't sure about pushing daisies until i saw the preview either. i WANTED to be excited, because i love wonderfalls and dead like me, but i wasn't convinced until i watched the promo. now i'm super excited. and the UST is going to kill me dead, i was flailing just over the 3 minutes in the preview!

i think chuck could be fun. it also has the potential to get lame really fast, but i'm hoping it'll be good!

Seriously. I remember having download the Heroes pilot in July, but I didn't watch it because I was going to Comic-Con and planned to watch it there. But this year...nada. At least there's still Comic-Con screenings next week. :)

I plan on checking out all those shows (especially Chuck and Pushing Daisies), but I have a feeling Dirty Sexy Money will not live up to its cast.

also, thanks for the Chuck preview. i had no clue what it was supposed to be about. only that Adam Baldwin was in it. it really looks like it could be a lot of fun.

i'm not sure about Gossip Girl. i'll give it a shot, but i think i might be growing out of that particular target demo. ;)
