THE OXFORD COMMA IS IMPORTANT. HATE HOW IT LOOKS ALL YOU WANT, BUT IT CAN CHANGE THE MEANING OF A SENTENCE AND THUS I WILL CONTINUE TO USE IT.

Newspapers and such have a lot of guidelines that aren't used in regular writing.
