blah, i hate that i hauled ass home and to the computer to listen to dfc's radio interview and it was, like, five minutes and boring. fail! and is it really so hard for people to understand why a scottie dog would be named dublin that he had to explain that it was a joke? dumb (tm ryan ross). I just cannot listen to radio interviews of any idols anymore. I just cannot. I swear that they are completely useless and inane and are so rarely interesting that I don't even try unless I see discussion that something interesting/cute/earthshattering happened.
apparently i am either delusional or just a horrible bitch for being happy that dfc and caldwell broke up. eh. as i said the other day, i'm sorry if he's hurting. i would never wish unhappiness on him, and i mean that. that being said, i disliked her way before i ever knew he existed. i make no apologies. *shrug* not to mention that, like...idk. people complain about the misogyny of the girlfriend-'haters,' but isn't assuming that they just dislike her because they're catty and jealous its own sort of misogyny? i mean, hell, i don't like michael johns, either, and i'm pretty sure he has a dick. meh. whatevs. over it! I think I fall somewhere down the middle on this whole debate. I feel a little bit weird about celebrating the "tragedies" of another person (other people?) and I don't particularly wish misery on another person (whether or not I'm a fan of theirs) but at the same time, I haaaate the argument that someone is "an adult" and is "capable of making the best decisions for themself" because I am roughly the age of dfc himself and I can think of a number of times that other people saw things that I didn't about me. (Not being able to see the forest for the trees, yadda, etc.) I think the misogyny more occurs in the "skank, whore, etc." comments that are used to refer to the girl than the excitement over the demise of a relationship, and those comments were being made by people before they broke up. And I know that I can think of a specific example of an idol that I liked was involved with a female that I had heard some not such hot things about and I was pretty happy when I heard that they were no longer involved, not because I was jealous of her or because I was assuming things about her based on her looks or the way she carried herself, but because I had heard trustworthy information about who she was as a person that I did not like. (woah. rantramble. If you got through all that and understood it, you are a very patient certified genius.)
Not gonna lie, I'm totally downloading iHusky now! XD
