y'know, i consider myself an optimist. i believe, in general, that people are good. that even though they may be misguided, they may do things i don't agree with, they may even be, well, assholes, that there's some...tenderness, i guess, in every one of us? that underneath it all, no one is truly evil.

and i'm sure that sounds incredibly naive.

and when i read something like this, i know not only does it sound naive, it is naive.

i'll go ahead and warn you, there are graphic, incredibly disturbing descriptions of violence in this post. and i'll ask you to grit your teeth and read it anyway. because it's a story that needs to be heard.
