isaiah washington enters "treatment"

Isaiah Washington has entered a treatment facility. This is what sources connected to ABC and Touchstone have confirmed to me, after Life & Style magazine broke the story about an hour ago.

According to my ABC sources, one of the options the higher-ups at ABC/Disney had been considering was to release Washington from the cast of Grey's Anatomy, without giving him a farewell episode. However, I'm told by an insider that Washington agreed to do "whatever it takes" to keep his position at Grey's and to make amends with the gay and lesbian community. He also vowed to seek help for his psychological issues—hence, his entry into a treatment facility this morning.

there's also statements from shonda, isaiah and the president of glaad. i personally think it's lame - he's going into counseling to learn to not be an arrogant, homophobic douchebag? that sounds like a personality flaw to me, not a psychological issue. :x they should fire his ass.

When I think of treatment facilities, I picture rehab.

yeah, exactly. when i first saw the headline that he was entering treatment, i thought he was doing the mel gibson thing and trying to blame his creepiness on being drunk.

I truly don't think he's sorry at all. I think he's sorry he got caught. And I bet he's pissed at hell that T.R. said he did it and that Katherine Heigl backed T.R.

no way is he sorry. it said right in the article that he'd agreed to do whatever it took to be allowed to stay on the show, and he just hired that new "fixer" publicist. he's just trying to save his career. he's still an asshole.

katherine heigl won major points from me for speaking out on t.r.'s behalf. too bad her character is so damn annoying. :x

I hope this impacts his career after GA. This shit should not be tolerated. If he worked for some average everyday company, he'd be fired.

I don't watch GA, and even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to because of him.

yeah, i quit GA a while ago, and i certainly have no intention of starting back now. this whole thing has just been ridiculous. they should've canned his ass weeks ago.

and you're right - in any normal situation, he'd be toast. but since it's OMG GREY'S(!!!) he gets a slap on the wrist.

i hope people quit watching.
