Stuff like that always seems to happen! Where you're only distantly aware of something and out of nowhere it strikes in quick succession!

Like, I'd heard the word "brouhaha" for years upon years, but never actually seen it spelled out. Then last month I finally ran across it print in a book I was reading. Then over the next few days, it was suddenly in five more various articles I happened to end up reading online. It was baffling my mind!
