The whole Tim/church thing made me uncomfortable - but in a good kind of way. Because church? Really? But I kept begging the writers to take this story line into a "Tim is just looking for a way to connect with anything - and right now 'anything' is Lyla". And yes. I liked the way they played. I think he WAS sincere in what he said to Lyla - even if it was a moronic move to say that out loud.

Landry and Tyra are so beautifully acted and written this season. I loved her ignoring him, but watching him at school. Then realizing just how great he is because of his dad's comments. Then that kiss. Eeep. It's killing me to know that the proverbial shit is going to have to hit the fan for them soon. *sigh*

Incidentally, I'm listening to Butch Walker right now - and it's one of those comment interests we've never discussed. Any chance you were a fan of Southgang back in the day? (What can I say - I was a hair metal fan in junior high!)
