i said "i hate you" but i'd never change a thing.

so, i've randomly decided that dan/blair really, really needs to happen. they have awesome chemistry and their current vibe reminds me of a cross between pre-hookup seth/summer (on blair's part, anyway, remember when summer was just a bitchy rich girl? and dan is totally like the most appealing parts of early seth and ryan, oh hay there josh schwartz!) and logan/veronica. i'm such a sucker for those antagonistic pairings.

I LOVE the idea of Dan/Blair. Especially after the talk they had in the last episode. I like them SOOO much more than Dan/Serena, but I guess that's mostly because I can't stand Serena at all. I know Blair is a serious bitch, but it's obvious she's just using that as a way to hide all of her insecurities. Not that she should use that as a reason to be horrible to people, but I think she'll get much better over time. And at least Blair doesn't hide her bitchiness. Serena tries to play the "good girl" role way too much, and we all know she isn't.

And Dan is fucking gorgeous and all things great, so...you know.

Dan/Blair FTW!

i haven't seen the last episode of gossip girl yet, but i must say i love dan. he is for sure my favorite character, and way cooler than the book's dan cuz he has all this seth vibe, the book's character is all "omg i'm a poet i suffer etc etc" haha.
but i like the idea of dan/serena. after i watch the episode i'll say if i like dan/blair, i had never thought of them being a couple 'til now tbh.

I think Dan/Blair could totally work. Before this episode, it never even crossed my mind, but they had a cute little dynamic going in this ep. First it was the little barbs as they competed over Serena's attention. (Do I smell pork? And cheese?) But when Dan got a glimpse of the real Blair beneath the bitchy facade and talked to her in the hallway, they had a nice thing going. I think it would be interesting if the show explored this. (Dair? Blan?) Of course, it could just be because I like the antagonistic couples also, early Seth/Summer, Logan/Veronica, Pacey/Joey.

And heh, you're right, Dan does have both Ryan and Seth aspects. A lot of his personality is Seth-ish, but wanting to beat the crap out of Chuck is a very Ryan thing to do.
