so dfc's stepsister has a twitter. and i'm a creeper, so i followed her. which, whatever, she has other fans following her, so i didn't think anything of it.

HOWEVER. apparently if you follow her, she follows you back. D: so, now she's going to see me talking all the time about how i want to bone her brother! D: D: D: AWKWARD. and idk what to do. i mean, sure, i could kick her off and block her, but...i can't do that to dfc's (step)sister! whatever. she's totally going to end up unfollowing me once she discovers how annoying/spammy/inappropriate i am. :/

went and spent a couple of days with [livejournal.com profile] themightybee this weekend! she is awesome, as usual, and on saturday we went to an inside the actors' studio sort of shindig with the lovely angela kinsey. she is funny and adorable and charming and it was exciting. she ships dwangela pretty hard. hee. we also (that'd be sarah and i, not angela and i) ate at the melting pot (YUM) and lounged about and watched some freaks & geeks. good times. (we also were together when we learned about bea arthur's death. so fucking sad. she was a hell of a lady. ♥ RIP *clings to betty white forfuckingever*)

then tonight i saw believers never die 2! it was SO hot and humid in the venue, ugh. but cobras were fucking amazing, as usual, and then metro station was too embarrassing to be real (mostly trace, omg D:, he must be stopped, you guys) and then FALL OUT BOY HAPPENED TO MY FACE. i love them, band of my heart, favorite band ever, etc etc. and they fucking played "hum hallelujah"!!! i was just thinking today on my drive back from rhode island that i was sad that "hum hallelujah" hadn't made the setlist, because it's my favorite fall out boy song. and then tonight pete's all "we haven't played this on this tour, but we want to tonight, it means a lot to us [blah blah whatever]" and the first chords sounded and i lost my shit. <33333 sadly, tho, we didn't get "chicago is so two years ago." :( i would've taken that over "tiffany blews" tbh.

oh god, and "what a catch," askldfjlf;lsdkfj. predictably, i cried. <33333

the casting for jovi & my epic bandom buffy & angel AU that neither of us has any intention of writing.

i might have forgotten some or messed some up, but i think this is where we left off.

chosen. )

two excellent covers - one by request and one because it's making me cry. i assume you can figure out which is which.

midtown // your love [the outfield]
the sundays // wild horses [rolling stones]

ps: dear blender magazine, plz suck my non-existent cock. kthx, tracy.

JUST AN FYI: [livejournal.com profile] getwellgabriel

it's been pimped on the cobra myspace a few times in the past couple of days, but in case not everyone on my flist is as obsessed with myspace as i am, i thought i'd let you guys know. so, go leave him some love.

(if you have no idea who or what i'm talking about - gabe saporta, the singer for cobra starship, had throat surgery today.)
semisweet: (cobra. v. fangs up!)
the cobra show was, unsurprisingly, A++++ awesome, would rock again. going solo was a little lame only because i had no cell service inside the venue, so i couldn't text and twitter as much as i would've liked (as everyone who follows my twitter goes THANK GOD FOR THAT) but otherwise it was superfun!

much to my chagrin, i enjoyed FTSK immensely. i am generally annoyed by jonathan cook's politics (i left him a bitchy blog comment once, lol) so i wanted to hate them, but he was actually quite entertaining (and wearing a twilight t-shirt, which amused me) and fun. dammit! (oh also, the redhead [caleb?] is wicked cute.) i missed hit the lights and sing it loud, but i didn't care about seeing them anyway.

and cobra continues to be made of all things fierce and sassy and fun, and i adore them all ridiculous amounts. but especially gabe, because, i mean. GABE. *hearthands forever* they played everything i wanted to hear except for "keep it simple," and there was silly string, and confetti, and gabe's sweat flying into the crowd and gabe himself flying into the crowd and ryland told us he was sweating his titties off. and i will never not be charmed by gabe's overwhelming gratitude. every time i see them, he thanks the crowd, like, 324992 times and i think it's actually fully sincere every time. i'm such a sucker for earnest.

the crowd was a little crazy, but i survived mostly unscathed despite being squished right in the middle of it. ironically, the only person who actually hurt me was a venue employee; a giant ass venue employee who had stationed himself at the edge of the mosh pit (which unfailingly opens up right next to me, wherever i am, idk if i inspire aggression or what) and who elbowed me quite soundly in the spot between my neck and shoulder, which was fun. :/ but whatevs, i brought sassy back with the cobras and it was excellent.

in unrelated news: DAVID COOK.

ok, that's not news. i'm just saying.

EDIT: oh also, for the record, bill beckett twittering about sports all the time makes me lol.

well it took me one hot second to buy this. gabe's bulletin, tho, you guys! how could i say no?!

keep me close to your hearts? )

ugh, i love him A LOT.

oh and HAY guess what i bought the other day for sarah and i?!?!?

\o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ who else is going?

i feel like i had other stuff to talk about, but i can't remember. :(

oh! one thing was that i watched like 10 minutes of how i met your mother tonight (i've never watched it, but i was bored and wanted to lol at britney) and hey, it's actually kind of awesome! why don't you guys ever mention that???? ;)

i'm KIDDING bbs! i know you love it.

oh panic[!], ilu so much.

ldkjhgklghkfgjh ♥

also, if you have even the vaguest interest in gabe saporta (and if you don't, why on earth not?), you should absolutely GO READ THIS. there is so much more to this man than you probably think. and it's all awesome.

for example, when talking about his favorite books:
Rethinking Life and Death by Peter Singer – Singer is a philosopher who tackles difficult questions and proposes radical answers for issues that we are not prepared to handle today. He believes that many of our current moral dilemmas are based on the fact that we do not have a clear definition of where life begins and ends. His argument is surprisingly rational and intuitive but it is radical in that it presupposes animals would have the right to life over coma patients with lower brain deterioration. Wow, I knew I learned something in school.

gabe saporta wrote that, ok? gabe saporta. wrote that. you know, this kid?

gabe saporta, y'all.

in other news: today's weather = SO MUCH FAIL. it's like 33 degrees and raining. "do not want" doesn't begin to cover it.

EDIT: and in idol news, i'm saying it now - i resent michael johns already. rumors abound that he's the chosen one this year and, like, half of my friends are already going nuts for him. and i'm a contrary bitch, so every time someone flails about him, i like him less. SIGH.

gah, and gypsy just clawed my leg (she was being friendly but it hurt like hell) and i tried to grab her paw and quickly extract her claws from my thigh and she hissed at me(!) and ran off. :(
semisweet: (fob. pete is shocked.)
this is old, but i never saw it before and i am laughing my ass off. OH BOYS. they're just like us.
semisweet: (cobra. v. church of hot addiction.)
GUYS GUESS WHAT DAY IT IS.

COBRA DAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

I LOVE THESE STUPID THINGS.

\o/

EDIT: hee, i just played a really dumb move in scrabulous (i totally set chrissy up for a triple word score) because i was making "FANGS"! XD
semisweet: (cobra. g. burn this city down.)
god, i adore cobra starship. and patrick stump. and travie. and mike carden too, why not. ♥

Sass Attack

ALSO OMG!

i am totally going into the city tonight!!! now i have to see if i can persuade my completely non-bandom friend to go. :x what's the dress code like at AK, anyone?
semisweet: (fbr. gabe michael jackson saporta.)
really really ridiculously good-looking tour question:

do i care about seeing we the kings, metro station, or the cab, you guys? or can i just show up late and watch cobra? i don't really know any of the other bands. i am aware that the cab exists and are from vegas, much like some other band, what's their name again? and the music on metro station's myspace is actually kind of rad, so maybe i want to see them?

help?

(yes, i realize i have a couple of weeks, but i'm trying to plan ahead, dammit.)

EDIT: fyi, i'm not, like, anti-new music or anything, y'all. but i'm making scott go with me and i know he's not going to be thrilled to sit through not only one band he doesn't know, but FOUR, so i'm trying to figure out if it'll be worth his annoyance.
semisweet: (fbr. gabe michael jackson saporta.)
attention! breaking news! cobra starship = cutest band ever!

watch this. it'll make you happy. srsly. for the full experience, you really need to do the dance along with them on the chorus, fyi.

and i didn't post about it last night, but i LOVED the office. not really spoilers, but just in case... )
semisweet: (fbr. cobra academy.)
you know who's rad as fuck?

gabe saporta, especially being interviewed by out.com
re: pete wentz having more "gay cred" than gabe does, lol.

That sounds like a challenge. Do you want to throw down?
Yeah -- let's see how many more boys we can kiss at the same time. For me, I was just thinking about that, actually. Our record just came out, and I wanted to feel what everyone was thinking about it, so I spent like two hours last night just reading comments and looking at blogs. I saw all these video collages that kids made of those pictures! And they'd make up love stories. And I was like, Wow, this is awesome. I was thinking about how when I was younger -- I totally remember this -- I was maybe 11, and Nirvana played on Saturday Night Live, and Kurt Cobain kissed Krist Novoselic on the lips. On national TV! And I was like, That's fucking awesome! I remember thinking how revolutionary that was, what a statement that was, and especially at that time. I think it's awesome to encourage people not to be homophobic. That's my motivation, to really make it seem like it's not a big deal.

gabe saporta touched my face once, idk if i ever mentioned it. ;)

i have the hardest time staying focused on pushing daisies and i don't know why.
